SWEDISH TEA RING 
1 packet dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
3 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. softened butter
1/2 c. hot milk
1 1/2 to 2 c. flour

Place in bowl first 6 ingredients. Mix together butter and hot milk. Mix for 3 minutes. Then stir in flour. dough will be stiff. Cover, let rest 15 minutes. Roll out dough on floured surface. Brush with butter. Sprinkle with filling mixture. Roll up. Bring ends together and seal to form a ring.

Place on 12 inch pan with scissors. Make cuts 1 inch apart to within 1/2 inch of center. Turn each slice on cut side. Cover and let rise in warm place until double in size. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Frost with vanilla glaze and sprinkle with ground nuts.

FILLING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. raisins
1 c. nuts
2 tbsp. melted butter

Mix together. Put inside dough.
