1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts, walnuts or pecans
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour

FILLING:

1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 egg
1 tsp. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and brown sugar. Add flour and nuts and put mixture in an 8 inch square pan and bake in 350 degree oven for 12 minutes.

Filling: mix together all ingredients for filling and beat well. Pour filling over crust and bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes or until filling is set. Cut into small squares when cool.
