PAT'S HOT PINTOS 
1 lb. pinto beans, cooked according to directions or 2 cans pinto beans, drained and rinse
3 hot smoked sausages
3 green peppers
3 red peppers
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 tbsp. tomato paste
3-4 lg. onions, chopped
1 tbsp. chili powder
5 dried hot peppers, chopped

Cook dried pintos in about 6 cups water with 4 bouillon cubes, after soaking overnight. Throw out soak water and cooking water. Peel and parboil sausages and discard water. Slice on diagonal and brown in 1 teaspoon oil. Cut peppers in diamond shapes. Stir fry with onion in pan meat was cooked in. Steam 10 minutes. Mix with beans, hot peppers and meat. Add enough water to make a small amount of sauce with tomato paste. Add instant bouillon if desired. Cook about 20 minutes.
