DEEP SOUTH SAUSAGE AND PINTO
BEANS
 
2 lb. link sausage
2 onions, chopped
2 sm. green peppers, chopped
1 (29 oz.) can Luck's pinto beans
1 (12 oz.) can tomato sauce

Fry sausage until brown on all sides. Drain off all but 3 tablespoons of the fat. Add onion and green pepper. Saute until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Still to blend. Simmer 10 minutes and serve hot with corn bread.

Serves 10.

Made this delicious recipe for years and lost it due to water damage. So happy I found it again! I added about a tablespoon of chili powder to mine. Also, my recipe was half the amount of this one. Going to the store and making this tonight for our supper! I wish Lucks would add recipes on the inside of labels again! This is the best recipe ever!!!

My children loved this recipe when they were growing up, (1978-90), it was perfect to stretch a meal with hungry kids.
