CHICKEN CACCIATORE 
1 med. green pepper, chopped
1 med. onion, sliced thin
2 tbsp. water
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. dried oregano leaves
3/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/4 c. dry red wine or water
1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) frying chicken, cut up

Combine green pepper, onion and water in 3-quart microwave-safe casserole. Cover with casserole lid. Microwave (high) 5 to 6 minutes or until partially cooked. Stir in remaining ingredients except chicken. Cover.

Microwave (high) 5 minutes. Add chicken. Cover.

Microwave (high) 20 to 30 minutes or until chicken is tender, stirring once. If desired, serve with cooked rice.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
