OMACHKA (Polish Bean Soup) 
Juice from 1 boiled ham
Sm. bag Northern baby lima beans
4 whole cloves garlic
4 peeled and cubed potatoes
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour

Wash and drain beans in cold water. Boil broth. Add beans and bring to second boil. Simmer until beans look like they are falling apart, about 1 1/2 hours. Peel 4 medium potatoes and cube. Simmer in broth with beans approximately 30 minutes. Partially mash beans and potatoes in broth.

Melt butter and add flour 1 tablespoon at a time continuously mixing until golden brown on medium heat Cool this slightly. Add some soup into this mixture, then add to soup.
