POLISH KRUPNIK 
6 c. water
2 chicken legs + 2 chicken wings (or 1/2 lb. soup bones)
1/2 c. barley
1 to 2 dried mushrooms
1 carrot, sliced
1 celery stick, sliced
2 potatoes, cubed
1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
1 med. onion, chopped
Salt & pepper
Fresh parsley or dill for garnish

Place chicken pieces, dried mushrooms and barley in pot of water. Bring to boil. Add carrot, celery, and potatoes. Saute onion and fresh mushrooms and set aside. When meat is cooked, remove from bones, cut up and return to pot. Add sauteed onions and mushrooms and salt and pepper to taste. Boil for awhile until soup is ready. Garnish with parsley or dill before serving.

Awesome recipe. I had a huge ham that would go to waste, so I used it instead of the chicken. My grandma used to add the kielbasa for flavor, but I did not have any on hand. Next time I will double the ingredients; I love it so much that it never last more than a day in my house. Thanks for a recipe!
