ORIGINAL "FANNY FARMER" FUDGE 
4 1/2 cups white sugar
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
3 (6 oz. ea.) pkgs. semi sweet chocolate morsels (3 cups)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
nuts

Combine sugar and milk. Boil slowly (10) minutes. Remove from heat. Add butter. Stir until completely melted. Add vanilla and chocolate morsels. Beat with electric mixer for 10 minutes. Pour into buttered 9x13-inch pan.

I have made this fudge for over 30 years only my recipe is a little different. I use 3 - 11 ounce bags of Milk Chocolate chips and 3 tsp. vanilla and put into a Jelly Roll pan. Makes about 4 pounds. I cut it all up and put it in tins for gifts at Christmas. People expect to see the containers at all my Christmas gatherings. People don't take the time to make things any more and it is so nice to do for those you love.
