HAMBURGER-CORNBREAD CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 green pepper, chopped
1 pkg. chili mix
1 pkg. Jiffy cornbread mix
1 onion, chopped
2 c. canned tomatoes
1 can red kidney beans, drained
1/2 c. water

Brown hamburger, onions and pepper. Add 2 cups tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste. Add package chili mix with 1/2 cup water. Add 1 can kidney beans. Bring to boil. Pour in casserole dish.

Mix 1 package Jiffy cornbread mix as package calls for and spread evenly on top of casserole mixture. Place in 400 degree oven and bake for 20 minutes.

This was a good recipe, I just spiced it up a bit and my family loved it! Perfect for cold winter days, warms the heart and belly, yummy! I added some mixed shredded cheese with the cornbread mix and add some green chilies to the beef mixture, while sauteing the onions!
