NEW ORLEANS PRALINES 
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1 c. cream
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. pecan nut meats

Boil the first 4 ingredients, stirring constantly, at 238 degrees or until a soft ball will form in cold water. Add vanilla and nuts; stir until it begins to sugar. Drop from tip of tablespoon on to buttered pans or wax paper.
