OLD PA DUTCH BREAD PUDDING | |
4 eggs 1 c. sugar Vanilla to taste 4 c. milk Raisins (optional) Beat together eggs, sugar, vanilla, and milk. Break up 8 pieces of toasted bread in a bowl (oven-proof) in a pan of water. Pour liquid mixture over bread. Cook in 350 degree oven about 1 hour or until top looks browned and crunchy. Sprinkle nutmeg over the top. May be served warm or icy cold from the refrigerator. Raisins may be added and mixed with broken bread pieces if you prefer. |
