1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
2 cups sugar
2 packets instant hot chocolate mix (Swiss Miss)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. rum flavoring (or rum)

Mix everything except rum flavor, vanilla, chocolate chips and hot chocolate mixes in a saucepan. When liquid gets hot, add hot chocolate packets, mix in and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute.

Add chocolate chips, vanilla and rum flavor in a separate bowl. Add boiled liquid and beat until cool.
