EASY CHOCOLATE FROSTING
1 1/2 c. sugar 6 tbsp. cornstarch 6 tbsp. cocoa 1/8 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. boiling water 4 tbsp. butter 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add sifted cocoa and salt. Mix well. Stir in water. Cook over low heat until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla. Spread hot.

This frosting was so yummy!! Although it took a really long time to thicken, I had to put the temperature up to medium rather than low for the cornstarch to kick in.... Besides that, it was so easy!

I liked it ... Great if you are out of confectionary sugar ... I added a few choc chips and a couple marshmallows ... Reminded me of Shoney's fudge cake topping from the 60's all you need is whipped cream and scoops of vanilla ice cream.
