OLD FASHIONED EGG CUSTARD PIE 
2 1/2 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
Deep pie shell

Beat egg yolks, put aside egg whites for meringue. Add milk, sugar, nutmeg, vanilla and salt to egg yolks. Warm until sugar dissolves and then pour into pie shell. Bake at 325 for 30 minutes, or until light brown. Then beat egg whites for the meringue and bake until golden brown.
