TURNIPS 'N APPLES 
1 lg. turnip
1 tbsp. butter
2 apples
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 pinch of cinnamon
1/3 c. flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter

Peel, dice, cook, drain and mash the turnip with butter. Peel and slice apples. Toss with brown sugar (1/4 cup) and cinnamon. Arrange, in greased casserole, turnips and apples, in alternate layers beginning and ending with turnips. Combine crust ingredients to a crumbly texture and pat on top of casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
