I hesitated to give this recipe 5 stars only because it is pretty vague - like a family recipe that you don't know the quantities of ingredients, but go by feel and smell when you make it. However, it came out delicious!! Here is how I made mine (more or less, I, too, did not measure as I cooked!).

1 whole turnip including greens, about 5 to 6-inch diameter
salt to taste, Miracle Blend no salt seasoning
1 onion
3-4 cups corn bread
4 slices uncooked bacon
1 stick butter

- Preheat oven to 375°F
- Peel turnip, dice into 1/2-inch pieces
- Wash greens, strip from stem and chop into med-sized strips
- Place into separate pots and season with some salt, "Miracle Blend" no salt seasoning, and 2 slices of bacon, uncooked and chopped, then divided between the two pots. Add water and boil... do turnip first, once cooking, prep the greens and cook them (the turnip pieces will need longer to cook). Turnips will take 15 or so minutes to cook.
- Chop onion (less is OK, chop very finely or as you like it)
- Chop remaining 2 slices of bacon
Melt the butter
- When the turnips are tender, drain both pots (can conserve liquid to use as broth)
- Layer the greens in the bottom of a 9x13 baking pan, top with the cubed turnips, then the onions
- Crumble about 3-4 cups of corn bread on top
- Drizzle butter over the whole dish
- Sprinkle chopped bacon on top
- Place in the oven and bake 15-20 minutes or until bacon is crispy.

YUM!
