Brown and drain 1 1/2 pounds ground beef and place in 9"x13" casserole dish. Next place a layer of thinly sliced onions. On top of onions use one package of frozen tator tots. Spread one can cream of mushroom soup on top of tator tots. Top with grated cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes until bubbly.
