This cake, wow! I changed it a little and added 1 tablespoon vanilla flavor and 3 cups sugar. So good!

I just made this, adding 1 tsp vanilla and it smells absolutely amazing!! Can't wait for it to cool and ice with milk chocolate icing!! My husband and son walked in and asked what smelled so good!!

Great recipe, I used self rising flour and omitted baking powder and salt. Added a teaspoon of almond flavoring. Cooked down fresh strawberries and sugar. Had strawberry shortcake.
