EASY YELLOW LAYER CAKE 
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. milk

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Serves 12.

Great recipe, I used self rising flour and omitted baking powder and salt. Added a teaspoon of almond flavoring. Cooked down fresh strawberries and sugar. Had strawberry shortcake.

I just made this, adding 1 tsp vanilla and it smells absolutely amazing!! Can't wait for it to cool and ice with milk chocolate icing!! My husband and son walked in and asked what smelled so good!!
