Great recipe, I used self rising flour and omitted baking powder and salt. Added a teaspoon of almond flavoring. Cooked down fresh strawberries and sugar. Had strawberry shortcake.

I just made this, adding 1 tsp vanilla and it smells absolutely amazing!! Can't wait for it to cool and ice with milk chocolate icing!! My husband and son walked in and asked what smelled so good!!

If this is made in two 8-inch round pans what is the cooking time? Thanks!

Recipe is awesome!! But it took longer than 15 minutes in my oven to bake, but other than that no complaints :)
