1 can Solo date filling 1 1/2 c. flour 1 c. or 1/2 lb. butter 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. milk 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 egg yolk Sift flour and baking powder, cream butter with cheese, milk, and sugar; add beaten egg yolk; add flour and baking powder; knead into a smooth dough. Roll out to 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick and cut with cookie cutter into 3 inch rounds. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Make thumb impression in center of each round and add 1 teaspoon filling. Bake Kolachy 10 minutes or until slightly brown. Confectionery sugar may be sprinkled on top before 1 serving. Make about 4 dozen. |
