I use this same recipe but I use corm chips and thousand island dressing. I also added diced onions, black olives, guacamole and sour cream. It is wonderful.

I like ground chicken/turkey over beef. I am gettin picky here but Italian dressing gets too messy and oily. Try this variation: ~3 oz. of Catalina dressing and ~2 oz. Ranch dressing. Also I use 3/4 can of black beans instead of large kidney beans and Cool Ranch Doritos over original flavor. Bam. Wow. Let me know how it tastes. :)

Perfect, sounds like the exact one my friends mom use to make when I was a teen. Thousand island is great.

This recipe is awesome and so much fun to play around with. Instead of salad dressing I made a sauce out of ketchup, brown sugar and taco seasoning and also added sour cream - very good!

Try French dressing. I also add the sliced olives, and diced white onion for that extra kick. I just use a plain dorito chip.

I used the taco doritos because it has the same calories as regular tostito chips! if you are looking to diet just change the recipes a little bit. Don't have bland foods.

I use catalina dressing for mine as it gives the taco salad a look like taco sauce. With the seasoned meat i tend to use the mix that comes with the taco shells and sometimes use hotter mixes as well
