HAMBURGER AND POTATO CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground chuck
4 to 5 potatoes, sliced thin
1 small onion, chopped
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. shredded cheese
1/2 soup can of water
salt and pepper to taste

Brown ground chuck in skillet; drain. Layer ground chuck, potatoes, onions and cheese in 9 x 9 baking dish. Mix soup and water. Pour mixture over layers. Cover and bake at 400°F for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake about 20 minutes longer.
