FRENCH ONION SOUP 
3 - 4 lg. onions, sliced thin and sauteed in 3 tbsp. butter
3 (10 oz.) cans beef consomme
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Pepper to taste
Mozzarella cheese
French bread or hard roll

Saute onions in butter for about 25 minutes. Add consomme and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil and add pepper. Place bread in small crocks, add soup and sprinkle with cheese on top. Broil until cheese is lightly browned and melted. Serves 4 in small crocks or 2 in large crocks.
