HAWAIIAN PORK 
1 1/2 lbs. lean pork, cut in 1 inch pieces
1/4 c. Crisco
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pineapple juice
1/3 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 c. chopped green peppers
1 med. onion, thinly sliced
2 1/2 c. pineapple chunks, drained

Brown pork in hot Crisco. Add water, cover, cook about 1 hour over low heat. Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and pineapple juice, vinegar, and soy sauce. Cook, stirring until slightly thick. Pour sauce over pork. Let stand 10 minutes. Stir in green pepper, onion, and pineapple chunks. Cook about 5 minutes. Serve over rice. Serves 6.
