CHOCOLATE CHERRY CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg, beaten
1 sq. chocolate
1 c. thick sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 sm. bottle Maraschino cherries
3 tbsp. cherry juice
1/2 c. nut meats
1 1/2 c. cake flour plus 1 tbsp. flour

Melt chocolate and mix with shortening. Combine all ingredients and bake in 9 x 9 inch cake pan at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes. Ice with seven minute white frosting.
