1-2-3-4 DUMPLINGS 
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
3 tbsp. shortening
4 tbsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk

Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening with pastry blender. Add milk and stir only until blended. Drop by spoonfuls into stew or broth. Cover pan tightly, bring to boiling point, lower heat and steam 15 minutes.
