ENGLISH TOFFEE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
3 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 sm. Hershey bars
1 c. chopped pecans

Put first 4 ingredients in pan and cook until brown. Stir all the time to prevent burning. Pour into a buttered 8 x 8 inch pan and lay candy on top and spread. Sprinkle pecans on top. Cool and break into pieces.
