FRENCH VANILLA CUSTARD PIE | |
1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell 4 eggs, slightly beaten 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. milk, scalded Nutmeg Scallop edges of pie shell. Blend eggs with sugar, salt and vanilla. Gradually stir in scalded milk; pour into pie shell. "For no spills, pour on oven rack". Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Cool on rack and serve cool or well chilled. |
