MEAT LOAF 
1 lb. ground beef, or meat loaf mix
3 slices bread without crusts soaked in 1/3 c. milk
2 eggs
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. each basil, oregano & parsley
3 tbsp. grated Romano cheese
Salt & pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Shape into an oval and bake in a loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees until done, about 1 hour.

VARIATION: Use tomato juice from canned tomatoes instead of milk and spread tomatoes on top of the loaf before baking. Sprinkle with additional herbs. NOTE: This is good for meatballs too.
