ESSIE'S PEACH COBBLER 
2 (20 oz.) cans any fruit
1/2 c. butter
2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. milk
1/2 to 1 c. sugar
1/4 c. water (optional)

Can use peaches, cherries or berries. Use 1/2 to 1 cup sugar, depending on the fruit used. Add 1/4 cup water for juicier cobbler, if desired.

Cream butter and sugar. Sift flour and add to creamed mixture along with milk. Pour in pan. Spoon drained fruit over batter. Gently pour mixed sugar, fruit juice and 1/4 cup water over the fruit.

Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 375°F in 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
