DIVINITY CANDY 
2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. corn syrup
2 egg whites

Boil sugar, water and syrup mixture until it forms a soft ball in cold water. Pour 1/2 of mixture over beaten egg whites and put remaining 1/2 mixture back on stove and cook until it forms a hard ball in cold water. Pour over egg mixture and beat until very stiff. Nuts may be added (flavor). Pour into buttered pan to cool. Then cut in squares.
