SNOW CANDY DIVINITY 
2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
dash of salt
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

In saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup, water and salt. Boil to medium-ball stage (240°F). Pour about half of mixture slowly over the stiffly beaten egg whites, beating constantly. Cook remaining syrup mixture to very hard-ball stage (265°F). Beat syrup mixture into egg whites and continue to beat until mixture holds its shape. Add vanilla and nuts. Drop from teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet.

Makes 5 to 6 dozen pieces of divinity.
