DUTCH APPLE PIE 
9 inch unbaked pie shell
About 8 apples
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon

TOPPING:

Mix first; set aside: 1 c. flour 1/2 c. sugar (white or brown)

Slice apples very thin or use grater to cut. Mix dry ingredients and put thin layer on bottom of pie shell. Then add layer of apples and 1/4 of sugar mixture again. Then add last layer of apples. Mix the last half of sugar mixture with 1/2 cup of whipping cream or sour cream; pour this mixture over the apples. Then cover with the crumb topping. Bake at 425 degrees for about 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake another 55 minutes.
