DUTCH APPLE PIE 
9 inch unbaked pie shell

FILLING:

2 lbs. tart cooking apples
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. granulated sugar
Dash salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

TOPPING:

2/3 c. flour
1/3 c. light brown sugar
1/3 c. butter

Prepare pie shell. Make topping: combine flour and sugar in medium bowl. Cut in butter until the mixture is the consistency of cornmeal. Make filling: core apples, slice. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon, mixing well. Toss with apples. Turn filling into prepared pie shell. Cover with topping. Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 400 degrees.
