OK so I grew up on Cedar Island, NC where we have some of the best oysters ever and our oyster stew was different than this recipe. I was on a goose hunting trip in Easton, MD over 30 years ago and ordered an oyster stew at a restaurant in St. Michaels. At first I was apprehensive but I've been hooked ever since and as a matter of fact just finished a bowl. Thank you for sharing the recipe!

Born and raised in Maryland, living on the eastern shore for 25 years and this is the simple, yet delicious recipe for traditional MD style oyster stew. We always add oyster crackers and a bit of Old Bay seasoning to top.
