RAISIN AND SPICE BARS | |
1 c. raisins 1/2 c. butter 1 3/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. nuts 2 c. water 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. salt Put raisins and water in pan and bring to boil. Boil 10 minutes and add butter. Cool. Then add remaining ingredients. Mix together and then pour into 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 minutes. Frost or you can mix cinnamon, sugar and nuts on top before baking. FROSTING: 1/4 c. butter 1/3 c. milk 1 c. brown sugar Powdered sugar Put butter, sugar and milk in pan and bring to a good boil. Cool and add powdered sugar to spreading consistency. |
