SPICED RAISIN BARS 
1 c. raisins
2 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour

Boil raisins in water until 1 cup of liquid remains. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Bake in greased and floured jelly roll pan at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

CARAMEL FROSTING:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt

Cook over low heat for 2 minutes. Add 1/4 cup milk, stir and cook until comes to a boil. Remove from heat and add:

2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
