MAPLE WALNUT BARS 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. maple syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) Nestle Toll House Little Bits semi-sweet chocolate, divided
1 c. finely chopped walnuts, divided

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour and baking powder; set aside. In large bowl, combine butter and brown sugar; beat until creamy. Add egg, maple syrup and vanilla extract; beat well. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in 1 cup Nestle Toll House Little Bits semi-sweet chocolate and 2/3 cup walnuts. Spread into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from oven; immediately sprinkle with remaining 1 cup Nestle Toll House Little Bits semi-sweet chocolate. Let stand about 3 minutes until morsels become shiny and soft; spread evenly over top of bars. Sprinkle with remaining 1/3 cup walnuts. Cool completely. Cut into 2 x 1 inch bars. Makes: 4 1/2 dozen 2 x 1 inch bars.
