SHOO FLY PIE 
1/3 c. butter
2 2/3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. hot water
1 c. molasses
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
9 inch pie shell

Rivel butter, 2 cups flour and brown sugar. Dissolve baking soda in hot water and add more hot water to make 3/4 cup. Mix in molasses, remaining flour and spices. Layer 1/2 of rivelings in pie shell, pour in liquid and top with remaining rivelings. Bake at 375 for 35 minutes.
