SHOO - FLY PIE 
3 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 c. molasses
1 c. hot water
1 tsp. baking soda

Combine flour, sugar, butter and salt. Set aside 1 cup crumb mixture for top of pies. Add molasses, water, baking soda to flour mixture.

LIQUID FOR BOTTOM OF PIE:

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. molasses
1 c. cold water
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 beaten egg
4 tbsp. flour

Combine ingredients and mix well. Pour into 2 unbaked 10 inch pie shells. Top with flour-molasses mixture, then 1/2 cup crumbs for each pie. Bake in 350 degree oven 45 minutes. Serve cold.
