SHOO - FLY PIE | |
CRUMBS: 1 1/4 c. flour 1/2 c. light brown sugar 1/4 c. shortening FILLING: 1/4 c. Brer Rabbit molasses 1/4 c. table molasses 1/2 c. light brown sugar 2 eggs 1/2 c. hot water 1/2 tsp. baking soda Make crumbs of flour, brown sugar and shortening. Combine the other ingredients for filling. Pour into an unbaked pie shell and add crumb mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. (Makes 1 pie - double recipe for 2 pies.) (Pennsylvania Dutch recipe.) |
