Best bars ever!!! This is a great recipe that can have multi uses. I've made banana bars and sweet potato bars just by replacing the pumpkin.

I would call these "spice pumpkin bars". My mother used this recipe for years and I have continued... Was on the back of the festal pumpkin can in MN.

I was living in Minnesota also and got my recipe off the Festal can. I have been making this for many, many years. I still have the original recipe but it is pretty much torn beyond repair so that is why I came here. The only thing is the cream cheese frosting is a little different.
Mine from the can calls for 6 ounces and 1 stick of butter while the one
here is 8 ounces cream cheese and 3/4 stick of butter. Hmmmm, now which should I make?
