FRENCH APPLE COBBLER 
FILLING:

5 c. sliced apples
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

BATTER:

1/2 c. flour
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
2 tbsp. butter

Peel apples and slice. Add remainder of ingredients. Put in 8 or 9 inch square pan. Mix batter. Put batter by the tablespoon on top of apple mixture. Bake at 350 degrees until apples are soft and batter is spread over apples and light brown.
