MEXICO JOES
1 lb. ground beef
2/3 c. chopped onion
1 sm. bell pepper, chopped
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash of hot pepper sauce
8 hamburger buns

Crumble beef into a 2 quart microwave casserole. Scatter onion, bell pepper, and garlic on top. Cover with vented plastic wrap. Microwave on high 5 to 7 minutes until beef is no longer pink and vegetables are crisp and tender; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and hot pepper sauce. Microwave, uncovered, on high 6 to 8 minutes, stirring twice until sauce is slightly thickened. Spoon beef mixture on bun. Garnish with tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese if desired.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
