QUICK NEW MEXICO LASAGNE 
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 lb. sausage
1 pkg. (8 oz.) regular or bite-size lasagne
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce with onion, tomato and green pepper bits
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lard
1 tsp. pepper
1 carton (11 oz.) sm. curd cottage cheese
1/2 lb. longhorn cheese

Using a lard skillet, melt the lard and add the hamburger meat. Skin chorizos, cut up and add to hamburger. Cook until both are lightly browned. Then add 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, sauce, tomato sauce can of water, tomato paste and tomato paste can of water. Simmer for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, bring 2 1/2 quarts water with 1 teaspoon salt to a boil. Add lasagne and cook 15 minutes or until tender. Do not let lasagne stick.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 12 inch baking dish. Layer lasagne, sauce, cottage cheese, then repeat layers. Top with grated cheese. Bake 10 minutes. Serves 8.
