LEMON CHEESE LOGS 
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, soft
1 egg yolk
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind

Combine sugar, butter and cream cheese; cream until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk, beating well. Stir in flour, walnuts, salt and lemon rind; mix well. Cover and chill 2 hours.

Shape dough by teaspoonfuls into 2-inch logs by rolling between palms. Place cookies on ungreased sheets and bake 325°F for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely.

Decorations:

1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Decorator candies or sprinkles

Melt chocolate morsels in small pan over low heat. Dip one end of each log in chocolate and sprinkle with decorator candy. Let stand until chocolate sets.
