GREEN PEPPER STEAK | |
1 1/2 lb. round steak 1 lg. green pepper, cut into big chunks 2 tomatoes, quartered 1/4 c. soy sauce 1 lg. onion, chopped coarsely 1/4 c. oil 1 c. water 1-2 tbsp. cornstarch or flour Marinate steak in soy sauce for 1 hour. Heat oil to medium high in skillet or wok. Add steak, brown lightly. Test for tenderness and if not tender, lower heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Then add green pepper, tomatoes, onion on high heat. Saute until medium tender. Mix flour and water with whisk until creamy and add to steak mixture. Stir until creamy and hot. Serve with chow mein noodles, rice and Chinese vegetables. |
