OATMEAL CAKE WITH HERSHEY BAR
ICING
 
1 1/2 c. quick oats
2 c. boiling water
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 pkg. plain Hershey candy bars (for topping)
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Pour boiling water over oats and let stand 20 minutes. Cream butter and sugars; add eggs one at a time and mix well. Add soda, flour and salt. Combine thoroughly. Mix in oats, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until cake tests done. Unwrap candy bars and place on top of cake immediately after removing from oven. Wait 5-10 minutes, then spread with spatula and allow cake to cool.
