ORANGE GLAZED BEETS 
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tbsp. minced onion
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. grated orange rind
1/2 c. orange juice
2 tbsp. corn syrup (light)
2 tbsp. lemon juice
Dash of salt and pepper
2 (1 lb.) size cans sliced beets, drained

Melt butter in 3 quart kettle over medium heat - add onion and cook 1 minute, stirring. Remove from heat. Stir in cornstarch until smooth. Mix in orange rind and juice, corn syrup, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Heat to boiling - stirring. Add beets - stir, cover and simmer 5 minutes until thoroughly heated. 6 servings. 72.5 calories per serving.
