1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup water
2/3 cup shortening
1 egg

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Mix together and place in pie pan. Prepare filling.

FILLING:

3 cups sliced apples
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon, or to taste

Combine apples, sugar and flour in mixing bowl. Add cinnamon.

Carefully spoon filling into center of batter. ** DO NOT STIR! **

Bake at 425°F for 40 to 45 minutes until crust is golden brown.
